Course contents :  
This class introduces the student to the various types of theoretical models currently used in cognitive sciences ("diagrams", box-arrow type models, interactive and connectionist models, neurobiological and neural models) and considers their heuristic value for psychological sciences. The various theoretical approaches will be illustrated by presenting models for different cognitive domains, including language and memory. The first part of this class will also examine the epistemological value of current models and theories used in psychological sciences.
