Course contents :  
Introduction to the scientific approach : theory, hypotheses, research strategies - validity and fidelity - dependent and independent variables - psychology of the evaluation - control and causality. Concept of attitude : Measurement of the attitudes: representative measurements and scales of attitude - psychometric measurements, traditional and current approaches. Analyses and design for non-experimental data: noncausal hypotheses - causal hypotheses Surveys : partim I : introduction - sampling and interview Surveys : partim II : Survey and social cognition - development of questionnaires - surveys as cognitive process of communication Quasi-experimental and experimental approach
Learning outcomes of the course :  
The course aims at understanding the essential scientific methods of investigation of attitudes and developing the knowledge of the principal techniques in this field.
