Language(s) of instruction :
| French language |
Course contents :
| The aim of this course is to familiarize the student with relativistic quantum mechanics. It covers the relativistic wave equations (Klein-Gordon, Dirac, Maxwell) for spin 0, 1/2 or 1 particles. It gives also a short introduction to quantum statistics for relativistic particles. |
Learning outcomes of the course :
| The objective is to describe relativistics quantum mechanics and discuss the implications of the various wave equations. |
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :
| Having followed an introductory course on non-relativistic quantum mechanics |
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
| Solution of illustrative exercises |
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
| see official time schedule |
Assessment methods and criteria :
| Individual oral exam (30 minutes). |
