Course contents :

| The course is divided in two parts:
- Geometrical and physical optics
- Electromagnetism
Electromagnetism : electrostatics, magnetostatics, electrodynamics - Maxwell's equations, conservation laws and electromagnetic radiation. |

| The aim of the course consists in teaching electromagnetism and physical + geometrical optics based on Maxwell's equations. |

| The course about optics is organized during the 1st period and is combined with 2nd bac chimists. Theory: 20h Lab and training sessions: 10+5h

Assessment methods and criteria :
 |
| Optics:
A written exam takes place at the end of the 1st period.
A second session of exam (written) is organized in Aug/Sept.
Lab reports are quoted. The quotation is taken into account at a level of 25% of the global total.
Electromagnetism exam :
A written test covering exercices (35%) and theoretical concepts/global comprehension (65%) is organized in June and August. |
