Course contents :  
This course aims in applying fundamental notions seen at the "Quantum physics: theoretical basis" course to various simple quantum systems (many particle systems, indiscernability, fine and hyperfine structure of hydrogen atom, light - matter interaction). Applications like quantum cryptography and atomic clocks are briefly studied.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
To expose some applications resulting from the intriguing laws of quantum mechanics.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Quantum physics: Theory.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
exercices (10h).
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
The course is given according to a schedule distributed at the beginning of the year at the Physics building.

No notes. However, copy of the slides are available.

Written examination (theory + exercices). Weighting: 65/35
