| The course is intended to the study of the bases of the atomic and molecular physics. We teach
- Atomic magnetism. The spin.
- Radiofrequency spectroscopy : EPR and NMR
- The lasers (principles + description of various lasers)

Learning outcomes of the course :

- To teach the bases of the atomic and molecular physics
- To teach the fundamental laws governing the behaviour of the atomic constituents.
- To teach some experimental techniques used in the determination of the atomic and molecular properties.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :

| The practical classes (15h) deal with
- L'amplification lock-in
- Rubidium absorption laser spectroscopy (hyperfine structure)
- NMR Spectroscopy (2 afternoons) - Molecular structure studies

| The course is given in the first and the second quadrimestre according a schedule distributed at the beginning of the year. |
