| The course is divided in tow parts:
- Introduction to quantum physics (with experiments on early-time modern physics)
- Physical and geometrical optics

| The aim of the course consists in teaching the processes of interaction between radiations and matters making use of complementary concepts such as physical optics and quantum physics |

Assessment methods and criteria :

| The first session is a written exam which takes place at the end of the 1st period (January).
The second session is a written exam which takes place in Aug./Sept. Lab reports are quoted; The quotation will be taken into account at a level of 25%. |
