Course contents :  
Historical and philosophical approach of major aesthetic theories of the 20th century. The course is devoted mainly to the study of the development of sciences of art (psychoanalysis, Kunstwissenchaften, Frankfurt School, anthropology and sociology).
Learning outcomes of the course :  
To allow students to take into consideration the development of major concepts of scientific aesthetics as they appear in the 20th century. To promote the understanding and the proper handling of these concepts.

Length and time period : 30 hours, 1st quadrimester.
