students should be able to describe and analyze a scientific controversy in relation to its stakes and its social, political and ethical dimensions
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Students are expected to attend
The Latour-Descola seminar (28-29 september)
The workshp (two days) devoted to scientific controversies (end of 2nd quadrimester)
A meeting will be organised in the beginning of the 2nd semester for practical informations

Students may propose to replace one of the books.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
Students are expected to attend the seminar.
Students have to write a paper about one of the questions raised during the course
