| Gottlob Frege, Bertrand Russell, Ludwig Wittgenstein, Rudolf Carnap and the Vienna Circle, philosophers of "ordinary language" (Ryle, Austin, Strawson), Willard Van Orman Quine, contemporary debates on realism (Davidson, Kripke, Putnam, Rorty), philosophy of mind (Dennett, Fodor, Searle, Churchland). |

| Good command of the historical development, the main issues and the special methods of analytic philosophy. |

| Basic knowledge of logic and history of philosophy. |

| Oral exam in June and September.
