Course contents :  
Introduction to the peculiar questions of metaphysics; deeper investigation through a contemporary work.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
To understand the metaphysical questions as they have been thought throughout the history of philosophy and learn to think them by oneself.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
2nd half-year, Thursday 2-4 pm and Friday 11 am- 1 pm. The lessons will be given twice a month, the following Thursdays and Fridays: 9th and 10th of February; 1st and 2nd, 15th and 16th, 29th and 30th of March; 19th and 20th of April; 3rd and 4th of May.

Please bring the book of C. Castoriadis, L'institution imaginaire de la société (Seuil, Points Essais, 1975)
Assessment methods and criteria :  
Oral examination in June.
