Course contents :  
Classification of phytomedicines and herbal remedies according to their principal therapeutic use
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Quality, safety and efficacy of some herbal remedies selected among the monographs of ESCOP and WHO and the lists of Royal and Ministerial Decrees on the manufacture and marketing of Drugs and Foodstuffs containing plants or plant preparations published in the Belgian Law Gazette






The part of food supplements containing fibers , omega-3 acids...)in preventing cancers and cardio-vascular diseases will be approached as well the interest of some nutriments (vitamins, minerals, trace elements, aminoacids..).Data about Belgian and European legislation will be given.
