Course contents :

| This course aims to set out the various ways in which the press can be analysed and to study statements from the point of view of how events are constructed. The course will also aim to undertake an in-depth analysis of
a corpus of articles from "La Dernière Heure" and "La Meuse" (news items, reports, investigations, etc..) and dealing with the so-called "problems of insecurity. |

Learning outcomes of the course :

| To introduce students to discourse analysis of the press and to sensitise them to the textual ways in which information is constructed. |

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :

| Three individual written exercises are planned, to be drafted at home, in preparation for the examination. Only the second and the last will be considered for the final evaluation (50% of the examination score). |
