Course contents :  
Micropaleontology is the study of organic-walled and mineralized microfossils. The main groups of marine microfossils are described as well as examples of their applications in paleoecology, paleogeography, paleoclimatology, and paleooceanography.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
general knowledge of main marine microfossils (acritarchs-prasinophytes, dinoflagellates, chitinozoans, foraminifers, ostracodes, siliceous microfossils, conodonts), their paleobiology, and illustrate their applications in paleoecology, paleogeography, paleoclimatology, and paleooceanography.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
observation of different groups of microfossils with microscope and binocular and visit of palynology, thin section and lectronic microscopy laboratories
