Course contents :  
In the "meteorology" section, we will examine heat transfer, water vapour through the air-sea interface.
We will study in more depth certain meteorological phenomena such as trade winds, monsoons, tropical cyclones and the el nino phenomenon.
In the "climatology" section, we will focus more specifically upon marine and coastal climates.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
This course will take stock of, in a pragmatic way, the basic notions of meteorology and climatology applicable to the sea.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
This course assumes basic university-level knowledge of physics and chemistry.
A course in elementary meteorology.

Some courses of 3 hours and\or readings to be commented of parts of books or articles of reviews.

Documents will be distributed as needed.
