Course contents :  
Introduction to meteorology dedicated to first year students in oceanography.
General introduction : orders of magnitude, characteristic lengths and times.
Application to thermostatics. Radiation and energetic balance. Introduction to air dynamics. Processes of saturation and condensation. Large scale circulation.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Provide to students a physical approach of processes located at and near the air-sea interface.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Mathematics, physics and chemistry at a level of batchelor of sciences (Science and Applied Science Faculty)
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Practical exercices at the Calvi oceanographic station.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
6 lectures of 2hours 30min.
