Course contents :  
- Observation of pharmacy and clinical toxicology department services: organisation, working methods
- Documentation, databases, available information
- Missions on the wards :
a.- basic activities : drug storage conditions on the wards, labelling of drugs stored on the wards, administrative control of prescribed medications requiring physician 's justification,...

b.- clinical activities: participation to physician 's round and colloquium, listing of current abbreviations, creating table of pharmacokinetic parameters needed for drug dosage regimen adaptation in case of renal failure- clinical follow up of patient records: drug regimen, interactions, contra-indications, duplications, biochemistry follow up, TDM, switch therapy, drug surveillance, patient drug history, detection and resolution of potential problems, control of drug administration conditions, drug information.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
To develop skills in clinical pharmacy and pharmaceutical care.
Approach of working in a multidisciplinary environment close to the patient.
To develop a capacity to detect and resolve problems related to drug prescription and administration
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Good knowledge of English reading, French speaking and reading.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Training in hospital pharmacy, clinical toxicology department and on hospital ward
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
At least 225 hours practical training between the first week of the 1st semester and the 2nd week of December.
Presentation of an activity report.
