Course contents :  
The pedagogy of this seminar is based on a triple approach :
1. Theoretical approach to give all the logistics principles and best practices based on the actual management concepts
2. Pragmatical approach linking the theory and the concrete aspects of two products to be manufactured and delivered to a non-EU country, that allows to understand international logistics concepts
3. A case study to treat in groups of 3 or 4 students.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
To understand the functioning of a company by integrating all the manufacturing and distribution phases: management of the forecasts, purchasing, transportation, production planning, packaging, locations of the distribution hubs, customer satisfaction management.
Mastering of an ERP.
To search for logistics pertinent information in the context of international logistics.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
An introductory cours on Supply Chain Management (e.g. LOGI00010 at HEC-ULg)
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Utilization of an ERP that allow modeling management parameters.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
Number of lectures : 8 lectures of 3 hours
Open access to the lab to use the ERP.

For one part of the course, chapters from: Integrated business process with ERP systems (preliminary version), Magal, Addison Wesley, ISBN 9780470884249
Assessment methods and criteria :  
(same criteria for both sessions)
1. Evaluation of the active and dynamic participation to the seminar
2. Written report prepared by each team
