Course contents :  
The course presents advanced models of production and inventory management. The following subjects are studied: aggregate production planning models, lot-sizing models, hierarchical production planning, scheduling in manufacturing and services, pull systems and Kanban policies.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
C1. Deepen knowledge in production and inventory management.
C1. Learn new models and techniques used to manage production and material flows.
P2. To be able to solve frequently faced problems of production management.
P3. To be able to recognize the situations where production management techniques can be used as decision making tools and to interpret correctly the conclusions which can be derived using these techniques.
C4. To be able to make critical analysis of these different techniques.
C4. Understand the advantages and limitations of these kinds of approaches for real life applications.

Basic concepts of supply chain management, production planing, and inventory management
