Part I : Histology

Histology of skeletal muscles, tendons bones and joints

Bone growth, modeling, evolution with age

Part II : Biochemistry

This module presents the locomotive system's essential systems: muscles, tendons, bones, cartilage and ligaments.

For each element, biochemistry is being interested above all in the structure of bones and muscles.

Part III : Physiology

This module presents the locomotive system's essential systems: muscles, tendons, bones, cartilage and ligaments.

Part IV : Traumatology

This module presents the locomotive system's essential systems: muscles, tendons, bones, cartilage and ligaments.

Part V : General pathologies

This module presents the locomotive system's essential systems: muscles, tendons, bones, cartilage and ligaments.

Part VI : Special pathology

This module presents the locomotive system's essential systems: muscles, tendons, bones, cartilage and ligaments.

Part VII : Physiotherapy

This module presents the locomotive system's essential systems: muscles, tendons, bones, cartilage and ligaments.

Theory and techniques of re-educating the musculoskeletal system - this course describes the different essential treatment techniques applied by the physiotherapist.



The prevention of amyotrophy and strengthening muscles. The particular aspects of the different modes of contraction - in particular eccentric - are analysed as well as a description of technical possibilities. The different applications to specific pathological contexts will be offered.



Muscle stretching technique: passive and active. The concept of slackening antagonistic muscles - essential in re-education - will be developed.



The foundations of diverse proprioceptive re-education programmes will be applied to various articulations.



Re-education techniques and objectives in the context of cartilage damage

Part VIII : Electrophysiology

This module presents the locomotive system's essential systems: muscles, tendons, bones, cartilage and ligaments.

Learning outcomes of the course :  
Part I : Histology

To understand histological and functional relations between the components of the musculoskeletal system

Part II : Biochemistry

To known the biochemical, anatomical, histological and physiological basis of the musculo-osteoarticular system in order to be able to understand the diseases of this system.

Part III : Physiology

This module aims to familiarize students, through an integrated multidisciplinary approach, the pathophysiology of major locomotor disorders may benefit (in whole or in part) of a physical therapy treatment.

To teach physiopathology of main locomotor affections which can be treated (completely or partially) by physiotherapy techniques.
