Reading epic and classic Sanskrit texts and commenting on their grammatical and stylistical features.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Familiarizing with the Devanágarí script. Using Sanskrit dictionaries and grammars. Understanding Sanskrit linguistic features.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Introduction to Sanskrit I. Introduction to Sanskrit II.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Preparing the readings. Supervised reading of a transcribed Sanskrit text : Rtusamhâra.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
30 h spread out over the second semester. Timetable set with the students. Opening session in September announced on Section notice board. The attendance is obligatory.

Photocopies of Sanskrit texts in Devanágarí.
