Translation from Ancient Greek and Greek prose composition. Some chapters from Greek grammar. Private reading.
Introduction to scientific writing.

Enhancing students' knowledge of Ancient Greek.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Very good knowledge of Ancient Greek language (grammar, stylistics and vocabulary).
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Active participation in the exercises.
In-depth analysis of Greek particles and philological work on intertextuality.

Private reading (Aristophanes' Clouds) will be based on the Paris edition by Victor Coulon, Les Belles Lettres, Collection des Universités de France, 1923.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
Tests during the year. Written exam. Oral examination on the private reading. For the second part: written exam on the particles and individually completed forms of intertextual commentary.
