- Further study of everyday English vocabulary and introduction to business English vocabulary.

| Developing and strengthening the four skills (listening and reading comprehension, oral and written expression) in the field of everyday and business English. |

| This course is not a beginners'course. Students should have a good basic knowledge (secondary/ high school level or ALTE level 1 or Council of Europe level A2) |

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
 |
| The exercises are integrated in the course and do not make up a separate course. They include grammar exercises, listening and reading comprehension as well as communication activities based on Market Leader. |

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
 |
| The course is taught 3 hours a week (2+1). It is divided into two main parts: a review of the grammar on the one hand, and an introduction to business vocabulary on the other hand. Students are expected to prepare the grammar exercises as well as the Market Leader activities for each course. Weekly tutorial. |

Assessment methods and criteria :

Written exam in January (25%): grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension of an unseen text, listening comprehension and essay.

Written exam in June (50%): vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension of an unseen text, listening comprehension and essay.

Oral exam during the 2nd semester (25%): Business simulation (simulation in groups of 6 students of a conversation in business English based on Market Leader topics)

Re-sit: written and oral exam.

| Students can find the keys to the grammar exercises and the Market Leader activities as well as the vocabulary on Lol@.
The listening comprehensions and additional exercises are available on the website.
Preparatory courses are held in N1 from August 30 to September 8 from 2 to 4. The objective of this course is to fix or brush up basic grammar and vocabulary knowledge. |
