Course contents :  
  • CEFRL levels of the course: C1 (level 4)
Study of the vocabulary and the main chapters of Dutch grammar through (drill) exercises, reading, writing, speaking and listening activities, based on authentic texts and documents related to business.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
This is the fourth year of a 5-year programme. The final objective is the written and oral practice of Dutch.
The fourth part focuses on the knowledge of Dutch grammar and vocabulary related to business.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
The student should have attended the first three years of the program or have a good level in Dutch to be able to follow this class.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
1 hour every week all year long. Students will be asked to do some homework and attend the class actively. It is possible to follow @lter Basic at the same time.

Assessment methods and criteria :  
Written and oral examination at the end of the year. The written exam will consist in different grammar and vocabulary exercises, an essay, and a reading and listening comprehension.
The oral exam will be divided into two parts. First, the student will be asked questions about one of the themes seen in class. Then, he will have to present (with power-point slides, during 10 minutes) a topic related to management and based on 10 pages from the Dutch press (from 01/09/2011). Those texts should be given to the teacher before the 30th of March 2012.
