Course contents :  
  • reading and listening comprehension, oral, grammatical, vocabulary and translation exercises based on Totaal, Basiscursus Nederlands voor anderstaligen, door drs. Anneke van den Broek, 2006. + mp3 files
  • some cultural and historical aspects as well as specific Dutch habits and features
  • Interaction will be emphasised
  • Level to be reached: A2 in the CEFR
Learning outcomes of the course :  
  • Being able to use Dutch as an everyday language and the basic structures of the Dutch language
  • Improving the four language skills, namely reading and listening comprehension, oral and written expression, though with emphasis on oral comprehension and expression.
  • Using communicative functions related to the fields of study and work (introducing oneself, introducing a colleague, visiting premises and sites, business trips, meetings, new jobs etc.)

  • Exercises based on dialogue and reading comprehension
  • Written and oral exercises on basic structures of the language
  • role playing
  • non supervised work: various preparations (more of it if 4 credits)
