Physical caracteristics of soils
Soil and water : hydrostatic
Methods of soils moisture measurements
Methods of soil water retention potential measurements
Water movments in saturated soils
Water movments in unsaturated soils
infiltration and redistribution
evaporation and crop uptake
structure dynamic (intro)
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Fundamental aspects and modelling of soils physic particularly about water movment in unsaturated soils and about water soil crops system.
After completing the course the student is expected to
-characterise solid phase of soils,
-characterise liquid and gaseous phases and their relations
-measure soil moisture (use and discuss results)
-measure water retention curve and discuss about its agronomical relevance
-caracterise water movements in saturated soils
-caracterise water movements in unsaturated soils
-explain main water soil crops modelling schemes
