Course contents :  
The course is a in-depth analysis of the history of Belgium since 1780.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Learning depth of the history of contemporary Belgium (political, social, economical and cultural history).
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
None.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Each student majoring in History is expected to turn-in one report of more or less 5 pages on one historical article from a list provided at the beginning of November.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
Face-to-face on Tuesdays, 14.30-16 (Q 1 and 2).

Assessment methods and criteria :  
Written examination in June and September.

For the students majoring in history, the report will be taken into account for 20% of the final result.
Organizational remarks :  
ULg is a French-speaking University situated in a French-speaking area. The courses will thus be delivered in French, as well as the notes and the examinations. Foreign students are expected to master the language first.
