| Introduction to law:
The existence of law - subjects and means of intervention - sources of law - domain - interpretation and application of law - proof of subjective rights - responsibility and the means of evidence.
Civil law:
Persons: status- incapacity- marriage- divorce-matrimonial regimes and filiation, in brief, for information and to understand the course
Estate: assets- property- usufruit- encumbrances- obligations- contract- effect and extinction of obligations- evidence. |

Learning outcomes of the course :
|
| Students will be able to grasp the diversity, extent and complexity of law, understand the legal system overall, as well as the different legal notions studied and their components.
They must assimilate law methods, those involved and the different means used to create and standardise the law .
They will know how to use legal vocabulary, understand legal texts and their implications, solve simple concrete cases, in order to be able to use their knowledge in their future professional lives and thus satisfy the legal standards. |

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :

| The theory will be explained in the most concrete way possible and particularly through examples, links with current affairs, and students will have to take notes. Students are required to actively participate so that, if possible, they can discover the different notions themselves. Their interest will also be aroused through regularly asked questions. Practical exercises will be carried out during class whenever the subject allows it. |

Assessment methods and criteria :
|
| Introduction to law: exam in January leading to exemption.
Civil law: exam in June.
In both cases, a practical and theoretical questionnaire will take into account the knowledge acquired during the course, but above all, the student's general and comparative understanding.
For the assessment, student attendance in class is clearly necessary and required.
Serious spelling problems may be taken into account. |
