Learning outcomes of the course :

| Introduction to monographic study of an artist and his work. Analysis and interpretation of art in an historical perspective (iconological approach). Introduction to scientific examination of paintings. Introduction to connoisseurhip. |

Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :

| - Good knowledge of European Art History of the 15th and 16th centuries;
- ability to use a bibliography including books or articles in English, Dutch and German. |
