Course contents :  
This is a introduction to methodology in medieval archaeology and building archaeology.

First, we wil observe connections between historicals sources, history of art and archaeology. Afer that, material sources will be listed by nature of artefacts: earth, ceramic, wood construction, stone and metal.

Some practical exercices will be organised, espacially on ceramic and building archaeology.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
The analysis of case studies in archaeology and building archaeology coming from North-West Europe help the student to learn and understand the medieval and postmedieval archaeological heritage.
