Course contents :  
Study works of art (metalwork, sculptures, illuminated books) and architecture which constitute "Mosan Art", i.e. the art in the Meuse area which flourished from the 11th until the 13th century in the former diocese of Liège.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
At the end of the course, the student will be knowledgeable about the architectural and artistic heritage from the Romanesque period in the Belgian regions of Latin tradition.
Since a particular attention will be given to the invention of "Mosan Art" during the 20th century, the student will have developed in addition a capability to use the main categories of Art History in a critical way.
