Course contents :  
The main objective of this course is to discover the role of information and communication technologies (ICT), in organisations and enterprises
Learning outcomes of the course :  
At the end of this course, students will be able to
  • Understand the concept of information system (IS), identify IS types et appreciate IS alignement on the business value chain
  • Know the range of ICT applications in business : CRM (customer relationship management), ERP (enterprise resource planning), SCM (supply chain management), e-Business, ...) and use an ERP software
  • Model and simulate an organisation's business processes with a BPM (business process management) software tool
  • Perceive the stakes of ICT projects management (development lifecycle, project's structure, workload evaluation , software packages selection, maintenance, ...)
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
  • 4 seminars (4 hours' duration) including theoretical lectures and workshops.
  • Personal and group works to be carried out between seminars.
Recommended or required readings :  
Various documents, exercises, software on Lol@.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
The assessment is based ongroup works carried out during the course :
  • Diagnosis of an existing enterprise's information system.
  • Exploratory report of the modules SD, MM and PP in SAP.
  • Business processes modelling of an existing enterprise or of a new business project.
  • Planning of a software development project.
The final note will be composed of the average of the group works (50%) and an individual oral presentation of 2 randomly selected group works (50%).
