Course contents :  
- Membrane technology (electrodialysis, ultrafication, nanofiltration and reversed osmosis)
- Filtration theory
- Study of filters with compressible and not compressible beds
- Theory of membrane plugging
- Practical exercises of power , pumping rate and circulation flow rate of agitated vessels
- Theory of starter mixer
Learning outcomes of the course :  
This course proposes the different technologies related to water purification and especially, filtration, membrane technology,
homogeneous reactors and static mixer.
After completing the course the student is expected to
- distinguish the different filtration technologies
- propose schemes of waste water treatment by filtration
- determine working parameters of mixing operation
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Knowledges in physics and mathematics
