Survey of the evolution of literary genres, study of the major authors and cultural currents in Dutch literature from 1700 to 1880.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Introduction to the history of Dutch literature in the 18th and 19th century.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Good notions of spoken and written Dutch.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Reading of representative text fragments and discussion of images.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
Duration and period: 30h of theory in the 1st semester.
