Course contents :  
Nature, origin and interpretation of deposits yielding or associated to archeological remains.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Basic knowledge on the deposits yielding archaeological remains for a better understanding in making excavations.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Basic knowledge in geology (course of geology for the 1 bac in geology or for biologists).
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Practical works in natural geological sites and in archaeological excavations in order to study and to interprete the different kinds of sedimentary deposits.
