An introduction to mineralogy as well as magmatic and metamorphic petrology.

Mineralogy

Magmatic and metamorphic petrology: general overview of the main types of magmatic and metamorphic rocks and their conditions of formation
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
general geology
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Observation of macroscopic rock samples and their corresponding thin sections.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
Lectures are organized in two succesive modules, given by two different professors.
