Course contents :  
Study of marine sediments and sedimentary rocks, with emphasis on carbonates.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
To give an overview of marine sediments.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Scientific formation.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Lectures with pictures, movies and rock samples. Fieldtrips in various palaeoenvironments (from turbidites to reefs).
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
Face-to-face. Lectures are given in B20. Fieldtrips are organized in different localities from Belgium or France.
