Course contents :  
After a short introduction to the main research methods in human geography, the course is focus on survey and interviews techniques (inc. focus group), fieldwork protocol and analysis of data (content analysis and statistical analysis)
Experimenting a survey students face the choices and problems.

Learning outcomes of the course :  
The objective of the course is to prepare the students to achieve survey, interviews and fieldwork in the field of economic and social geography.
The training confronts the students with the different stages of a survey. Students will use the more common tools used in research in human geography.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Statistics, Demography, Spatial analysis, Cartography, Data base, Cultural geography
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
The course takes place during three weeks (including a Saturday) in February and March

Assessment methods and criteria :  
- Contribution to the Collective Survey (20%) - Personal analyse of the survey, report (30%) - Oral exam (50%)
