Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Mathematics and Physics: secundary school level and the matter given in parallel during the 1st year of Bachelor degree
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Elementary exercises in astronomy and cartographic projections
Map interpretation : systems of coordinates, length, area, slope, etc.
Preparation of field works: GPS and surveying material, field book

Field works : surveying and GPS
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
5 x 3 h theory + 3 sessions of exercises + 1 day on the field for practical works in surveying

Assessment methods and criteria :  
Practical: exercises carried out during the year are evaluated. In case of failure, a written practical examination is mandatory in June.
Theory: 3 written examinations are proposed in the first semester and in the eamination periods of January and June. In case of failure, an oral examination is mandatory in June.
Success is conditionned by the success in both exams (theory and practical). In case of failure, partial exemption (theory or practical) coud be given.
In September, a written examination only is proposed.
