Learning outcomes of the course :  
Basics of GIS: geo-referenciation, vector and raster geographic data, visualization, GPS acquisition (option).
Using GIS software, both open source and commercial.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Windows environment on PC
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Integrated during the lectures, with practical works achieved on PC with dedicated software (Open Source, Idrisi and ArcGIS) + optional field work (GPS)
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
Second semester.
Lectures 3 to 4 hours / week

Practical written examination, consisting in the modelling and solving of an application with the help of the dedicated software used during the practical works. Written examination on theory
