Course contents :  
Strategies for managing structures and infrastructures Pathologies of concrete, steel and structures Auscultation techniques and laboratory analysis Products and techniques for maintenance and repair Normative aspects
Definition of underestimated actions and of design weaknesses: thermal effects, effects of deformations, fatigue, vibrations. Description of techniques and calculation problems specific to repairs.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
To be able to give a diagnosis of a concrete or steel structure, on the base of laboratory analysis and investigation techniques, and to propose products and techniques for repairing
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Concrete technology and design. Steel and concrete structures design.
