Learning outcomes of the course :

| To lay the foundation for the knowledge of wood which is a complex raw material by the diversity of its chemicals, its anisotropic structure and the multitude of anatomical variations. To observe the main physical and mechanical properties of clear wood. After completing the course the student is expected to Describe an unknown species based on anatomical characteristics Identify a woody species from a microscopic slide Understand the impact of anatomy on the behavior of the wood material (drying, impregnability, strength, figurative wood) |
