Course contents :

| This course tackles various educational issues that brought up daily in teaching French as a foreign or second language, for example:
- the first lesson,
- phonetics,
- evaluation of level of ability and particular needs of learners,
- supervision of written activities,
- supervision of oral activities,
- vocabulary,
- conversation tables,
- critical utilisation of manuals,
- writing workshops,
- and so on

Learning outcomes of the course :

| Allowing the participants, who are introduced to this form of instruction (in particular during training periods) or who would like to improve, to contemplate constructively and coherently the various elements and activities of French as a foreign or a second language courses, and to acquire practical skills in these many fields. |

| Some knowledge and/or experience in linguistics and/or teaching. |

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
 |
| This course is given in the form of a seminar in which the students are expected to participate actively. Practical exercises and case studies are frequently used, and outside specialists are often invited to speak. |
