General introduction Geodesic frames of reference Cartographic frames of reference Measurments and quality of measurments The theodolite and the complete station Angle measurement Distance measurement The measurments of level The GPS system The measurments of area and volume
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Teaching basic theory and practical material for use in engineering surveying After completing the course the student is expected to 1. identify the position and the measurements of objects existing to the surface of soil, after having judged the quality (correctness and precision) requisite, chosen the adequate frame of reference, as well as the equipment and the method of measure that agree; 2. manipulate a theodolite as well as a GPS receiving.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Calculation of a Lambert projection
Catch in hand of a total station
Detail surveying by radiation with the total station
Detail surveying by a receiver GNSS
