This lecture aims at presenting mechanisms to optimize the use of energy in industry. The following concepts will be covered:
- energy performance indicators
- techniques for improving industrial processes
- the use of renewable energy
- the use of CHP
- heat recovery
Learning outcomes of the course :
Part 2 : Rational use of energy in industry
The student will be aware of main concepts of energy performance. He will also gain a good knowledge of mechanisms to improve energy performance in industrial processes.

Basic thermodynamics knowledge.
