| a) CMOS integrated circuits and related fabrication technology b) magnetic and optical information recording c) description of the "ubiquitous" hardware kernel (i.e. present in all chipsets for compatibility reasons) of P.C.'s. |

| Knowledge of some general hardware concepts (integrated circuit design and fabrication; magnetic and optical recording as well as the technical evolution of the PCs) found in most information processing equipments. |
