Course contents :  
Introduction to the network of transmission and distribution of electricity.

Why using electricity networks ? How does it work ? Efficiencies at both transmission and distribution level.

The example of belgian network of electricity

visual impact and example of ots limitation.

Impact of low frequency (50 Hz) electromagnetic field on human health.

Possibility to participate to a seminar organised on transmission and distribution of the natural gaz. Given by CEO adviser of Suez-Tractebel group.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Introduce the student to the importance of an electrical network in every-day well-being.

Basic knowledge in electricity and energy.

How to compute an electrical network ?

given by 4h lectures

2 of them devoted to exercices + 2 h for one evaluation
