Course contents :
 |
| This course is proposed within the programme of the Master in Sport Sciences to student following the coaching orientation. It is designed to bring knowledge and develop competencies allowing students to perceive the place of observation and video analysis in high level sport. In fact, coaches and athletes need to use tools able to bring them information about the quality of their skills or about their opponents. |

Learning outcomes of the course :

| - To identify available ressouces in sport observation/analysis. - To experiment a video analysis of sports performances. - To meet practitioners who are using these tools. |

Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :

| A personal sport experience will be an advantage. |
 |
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
 |
| They consists on a serie of meetings with coaches, the search of analysis tools, the preparation of a video sequence and the organisation of video feedback to athletes on the field. |
 |
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
 |
| The course will be organized during the whole academic year according a planning determined in agreement with students. The theoretical course lays mainly on seminars and readings. |

Recommended or required readings :

| All documents used by the professor will be available for the students. These will be also invited to use the library. |

Assessment methods and criteria :
 |
| Students will be assessed on the basis of the quality of their works and on their involvement in all the tasks. An oral examination will be organized in June. It will wonsist in a defense of the written production of the students. |
 |
