Each chapter is addressed to a different course. The course is usually three parts: the first presents the characteristics of the sport, the second presents the content of training and planning with the third evolution of the contents of the drive.
Alongside the theoretical course students are required to achieve a work group (2 or 3) a sport of their choice. The goal is to get students to advance knowledge in a particular discipline and be well over the years a large database that can be used for further, possibly in their work. The idea is based on the principle of Wikipedia. Year after year, the database will grow and improve. The idea is also to be able to do, eventually, a website on sports training, serving students, but also from all age groups.
Learning outcomes of the course :
This course enables students to develop reflective practice around the high-level sports training.
The student will develop knowledge of:
- The characteristics of the major sports - The specificity of the High Performance Training - Trauma-specific sports studied - Doping techniques with the most common desired effects, side effects and risks.
The student will also develop skills to analyze the characteristics of a sport and, from there, build a sensible training plan and adapted to the sports meet.
The analysis of the sport should allow the student to select the field tests and laboratory most relevant.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :
Upstream: Basics of Athletic Training (3 BSM) and determinants of athletic performance (2 BSM)
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
The course is specifically oriented to sports training. The reflective approach exposed during and stimulated during the work and exercises should allow students to consider the physical training in any sport.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
See vademecum
Recommended or required readings :
From the teacher.
Assessment methods and criteria :
The review takes place in two sessions. The first part is a written test comprising a series of open questions. The answers require a mix of sports knowledge and reflection. The second part takes place a day or two and is an oral examination. Students have the opportunity to improve their score. It will not fluctuate more than two points from the written note. Written questions are asked and addressed by teachers who have provided the course. A spoken, only the holder of the course is present and asks the students.
Students have the opportunity to consult their copies during the week of deliberation.
