Course contents :  
During the "determinants of sport performance" this exhaustively, on the one hand the various factors that influence athletic performance, and other events in the field and laboratory to assess these qualities. The entire area will be divided into eight chapters:
- The energy systems; - Endurance; - Strength; - Vélocity; - Flexibility; - Coordination; - Psychology; - Power.
The identification of the determinants of performance is an essential step in the training process. It allows the coach to identify the elements on which it must focus and prioritize. Depending on the characteristics of the sport and the means available, the coach can build a battery of tests helpful:
- The detection of young talent; - To identify strengths and weaknesses of its athletes; - Monitoring the effectiveness of coaching.
The current practice, integrated module ... will illustrate concretely on the ground, the notions in theory.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
After the course, students should know:
- Energy sources are essential to human movement and their use depending on the duration and intensity of effort; - Techniques used in the laboratory and field for the evaluation of each direct or indirect energy system; - The various components of endurance and the factors that influence it - the various components of the force and the factors that influence it; - The various components of the velocity and the factors that influence it; - The various components of the flexibility and the factors that influence it; - The various skills related to coordination; - The individual and collective psychological factors that can affect athletic performance; - The basics of diet.
After the course, students should be able to:
- To identify for each discipline, the determinants of sports performance; - To quantify the relative importance of each sector; - To build a series of tests depending on the relevant sport and context; - Advise on the management of sport in their diet before, during and after the competition.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
During the determinants of performance requires some basic knowledge of chemistry and physics and a general basic knowledge of major sports. During the determinants of sport performance is itself a prerequisite to being "Training Basics" and "high-level training."
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Practical classes associated with this course are included in the module specific Motricity Sciences

All information will be detailed in the Vade Mecum distributed at the beginning of the academic year.
Recommended or required readings :  
Lecture notes will be available from the academic year and handed over to the class representative.
The slide show presented during the year will be published online on the portal MyULg.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
L'évaluation se déroule sous forme d'un examen écrit à réponses fermées et ouvertes. Une ou deux questions seront sélectionnées parmi les 20 meilleures questions proposées par les étudiants. Une question (20-25%) est plus réflexive et concerne la réalisation d'un entraînement.
Certaines questions sont parfois rédigées par des enseignants invités (Diététique). Dans ce cas-là, ils corrigent également leurs questions. Les autres questions sont rédigées et corrigées par le titulaire.
